WOW

Left on for a stay in Feb 2019 Our 12th visit to Long Island but our first at Bahama Dreamin, and it won't be our last. The villa is impressive, screened in lanai, generous living space, comfortable beds, fabulous showers, and a well equipped kitchen. We arrived to find a spectacular view, cool ones in the fridge and Robin had even done provision shopping for us. The location on the island is perfect as it is closer to what we think are the best beaches and restaurants and the car was an added bonus as a car is essential on such a long island. Though the beach is tiny, it provides ample space for access to the sea for a snorkel, kayak, or a swim. All in all a fabulous three weeks at Bahama Dreamin. We will return.

Beautiful view; fun times

Stayed for a little over a week with so many fun things to do on Long Island. Robin is a great host as are all the local people. Many food markets and restaurants near the house. No crowds on any of the beaches which was great for a spring break trip. We will be back; like no other place on earth.

The most beautiful place on earth

Unbelievable rental, so comfortable, every amenity though of, with the best view on the island. The location on the island was central with beaches, bars, food, the airport and sightseeing all within a short drive. Roomy 1 bedroom, updated with everything needed, including a cooler, beach chairs, towels etc. Can't wait to go back!

Million dollar View

Going to miss the huge screened in porch every morning with the tilting recliner chairs. The fireplace where the guests met at night was also awesome. Robyn and Mike are just super nice people who care and are involved in their island and will answer any and all questions and direct you to the finest beaches on Long Island.....

2nd Trip To Bahama Dreamin

Best Place To Stay In Long Island Left on for a stay in Oct 2018 This is the best bang for the buck on the Island perhaps the Bahamas. Robin and Mike are great hosts and make sure everything runs smoothly. If the wheels come off your trip Mike and Robin are there to put it right. The Villas are situated in the middle of the island which makes it easy to get to the north or south of the Island from the Villas. The villas are very well equipped and you don't need much. The views are spectacular and you do not tire of having a Kalik and soaking in the views of chimney rock and the Atlantic. Thank you Mike and Robin for another perfect trip to Long Island.

Bahamian Piece Of Hevaven

We were amazed every time we saw the view (breathtaking). The villas were wonderful, so very comfortable and it is so peaceful. Awesome place to de-stress your life. Such an adventure exploring every crook and nanny of the island. It was so amazing to take a dirt road that seemed like it led to nowhere and then it would open up to the most incredible places. I literally told Mark I think this is the most beautiful beach I have ever seen every time lol. We enjoyed the caves (not the bat poo lol) and the shrimp hole was magnificently beautiful, but I did not swim there because Mark told me a sea creature lived there. Robin was awesome and made our trip even more pleasurable (and who knew we were practically neighbors wink). A trip we will never forget. Until next time.

Feb - March 2018 - The Bahama Dreamin Villas - Great location! Quick and easy access to Queens Highway, dining and airport. The view of the ocean is magnificent! Watch the sunrise and sunset from the screened in porch while you sip your morning coffee or your favorite cocktail. Hunt for sea glass, shells in the nearby protected reef. The Villa offered us a fully equipped kitchen to prepare our catch of the day and to rest peacefully and comfortably. A car was included with the Villa, which was a bonus to getting around and exploring the island. The owner was informative, friendly, and kind. Best Possible Place To Stay

Our stay in Dec. 2016 couldn't have been any better. We used the vehicle provided to discover the entire island. After all the spectacular views and discoveries, the paradise just out the door of Bahama Dreamin was the best on the island. It is centrally located and near groceries and restaurants. This is NOT for "cruise" types. It is remote. It is laid back. Just what we wanted to "unwind". The stars were magnificent. The sunrises and sunsets gorgeous. The villa was luxurious and functional. Everything we needed was there. We cooked in and we ate out. Thanks for making this a most special vacation.

Simple Elegance

My wife and I stayed at Bahama Dreamin for 11 days this July. Our stay was beyond expectations in every respect. Robin met us at the airport and drove us to the villa.She then handed me the keys to the vehicle.Well..... that was easy! The villa is spotless and details to make your stay more enjoyable have not been missed. Bahamian beverages already in the fridge! Ice, snorklegear, floats,towels,books,movies,etc. It's all here. Outdoor freshwater showers to keep you from becoming an Old Salt,complete kitchen,comfortable bed,bathroom facilities are spacious thoughtful and beautiful. What Mike does with sea glass will keep you combing the beaches! Robin has even thought on how to keep the inevitable sand invasion to a minimum in home and vehicle. Love the mats by the bed to give your feet one final srub before hopping in the sheets! We never used the AC, but it is there if needed.Great flow through breeze!(ceiling and floor fans are there too) We slept like babies to that wonderful ocean sound. If you need TV,no problem. Widescreens in living room and bedroom. Log into your streaming account and watch your stuff like back home.You won't need TV though, the real widescreen is looking out the front porch onto a view that will leave you speechless and calm your soul.The photos do not come close to the reality.Dramatic. It is so beautiful at Bahama Dreamin,you can while away the day easily without leaving and be quite contented. This would be a mistake. ANY beach here is world class! Farmers market in Salt Pond. Cheerful, laughter filled conversations with Kenny at Seaside Village or with Gary at Max's Conch Bar should not be missed. Outer Edge Grill and Rowdy Boys will also add to another perfect day in paradise. I must highly recommend finding Locksley Cartwright and taking his boat tour! The natural beauty you will see is beyond my vocabulary. Stunning somehow seems to shortchange the experience. Thank you Locksley!! Looking up Charles Knowles for a fishing trip or crabbing at night is also a very smart thing to do.Charles absolutely loves Long Island and can't wait to reveal "his Long Island" to you. To a person,we only met the kindest and friendliest sorts on Long Island. There is a common thread running through everyone here. A like-mindedness. We immediately felt at home in this place we had never been before. Without hesitation,we recommend Bahama Dreamin. We miss all of you terribly and will be back double quick soon! Mike & Eva

It's Really Dreamin

Robin's & Mike's Bahamas Dreamin is really a dream. The location is perfect. From the porch you have a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean and the Lagoon is only steps away from the door. The house is clean, well maintained and equipped with everything you need for your stay. The car comes with the rental and is a great asset to explore the island. Robin and Mike are great hosts, they are friendly and provide superior customer service. Bahama Dreamin is the place to stay at Long Island. 2 Week Dream

We would totally like to let everyone know about our great stay at Bahama Dreamin. We went for 2 weeks to celebrate our 30th Anniversary in February of 2016. It started with Robyn picking us up at the airport. Showing us the area and answering any questions we had. The car she lent us was extremely handy so we could find awesome beaches, did some fishing, snorkeling and just relaxing. The accommodations are very up to date and is equipped anything you'll need. The view was also amazing and kept us in awe the hole time.

Beautiful View And Villa - Perfect Combination!

Everyone, Honestly, OMG was the first words out of our mouths! From the initial drive onto the property we were impressed with the view. Chimney rock with the aqua blue lagoon and back drop was amazing. Fell in love instantly. The soothing crash of waves and spectacular breeze was comforting as we stepped out of the car. The villa was better than advertised! We were not sure exactly what we were getting initially and ended up very pleased. The private screened porch was large and the view was lovely! The breeze on the porch was relaxing and felt heavenly. The kitchen was great, the living room was really nice. Overall we felt right at home. The decor added a nice warmth and beach like feel. Loved the shower too!! Everything was well maintained and clean upon arrival, it looked pretty much brand new. It was so quiet and peaceful on the property which made for a truly relaxing vacation. Those of you that enjoy the peace and quiet, non-resort style crowds, and love to explore, this is the place for you. The vehicle was such an added value! We are explorers by nature so having the freedom to jump in the Jeep and see the entire island was perfect for us. The central location of Bahama Dreamin made travel to both ends of the island feasible at any time of the day. Robin was awesome! She gave us great advise with finding the perfect sunset and snorkeling location (right on the property is hard to beat). She was VERY fast in responding to questions pre-arrival as well as once we were onsite. Excellent customer service. We both would highly recommend this property to our family and friends. Honestly we already have! As for attractions, we both loved the following: Deans Blue Hole Cape of Santa Maria Beach Gordon's Beach Galloway Beach Max's Conch Bar Stella Maris Moonshine Bar for Lunch - Great views Columbus Point - Gorgeous Panorama's We really did not find anything we did not like. Thank you Robin and Mike for the wonderful stay. Our experience was so good that we plan on booking soon for the next adventure!! We still have a lot to see on the island. Amenities Unmatched

The view is only outmatched by the hospitality! This was our first trip to the Bahamas so we didn't know what to expect. Their villas are wonderfully equipped, decorated and have a view to die for!One day as we were relaxing on our lanai, a young man was snorkeling in the bay below. He speared THE LARGEST lobster we have ever seen!The beaches are phenomenal throughout the island and the locals are very friendly. No pushy vendors on this island at all. This is a place to RELAX!

Mike and Robin have done a fabulous job providing an atmosphere that allows you to explore the island or sit and relax at the villa for the day- fishing off shore, swimming or exploring the coast. Listening to the crashing waves is a great way to relax or fall asleep and the amazing breeze cools you off.My family has stayed at Bahama Dreamin’ over 6 times and has always had an amazing experience. The villas are centrally located allowing you to explore the north or south without it being a huge drive. Amazing beaches are located nearby, as well as two of the best guides to help you fish or explore the island further. Thanks Charles and Locksley! Robin and Mike provide all the information for you to connect with local businesses that will enhance your stay with their information binder in the villa.Bahama Dreamin’ is also convenient to all the necessities that you need. They are a quick drive from the airport and a bank is at the end of the street. Grocery stores, gas stations and establishments to dine and mingle are 5-20 minutes away. By proving reliable and practical vehicles, you are able to explore and take advantage of all the island has to offer.Robin and Mike have all the little things to offer as well to make your trip complete. The villas are clean, comfortable and well stocked allowing you to cook, bake or grab cooler bags and ice to venture out for the day. The local farmers market and vendors allow you to taste all the islands have to offer. We often pick up fresh fish, lobster or crab to enjoy.The people are amazing! They have recovered well from the hurricane and have worked hard to re-establish themselves. The natural beauty and open beaches remained after the storm and everything is pretty much up and functioning again. We had an amazing time again this past Christmas. We have done everything from Deep sea fishing, eco tours, cave exploring, land crabbing, fishing from shore, collecting natural sea salt and collecting the most amazing shells and natural treasures anywhere.We would highly recommend Bahama Dreamin’ for your next get away. If you want to go somewhere off the beaten track that is not commercialized and is authentic with caring, loving people with old fashion values, then Long island is for you.The Umetsu’s

Best Value On Long Island By Far

These units are far and above any other in the area. They are new, spacious, airy, beautifully and tastefully decorated. Large baths, BRs, living area and tremendous screened in patios overlooking crashing surf and a formation called 'Chimney Rock' that provides a semi-protected area for swimming & snorkeling. A Tiki hut sits halfway between the units and the surf overlooking a man made sandy beach. Long Island is rustic and remote... this property provides a modern home-like refuge for your explorations. A car is needed for practically any stay on LI and a late model SUV or Jeep is included with the rental. Proprietors Robin and Mike are fantastic. No complaints, only superlatives. Best choice for almost any stay in Long Island.

Perfect Long Island Villa In The Perfect Location!

Just returned from 7 nights on Long Island and could not have had a better time or experience! These Villas are perfect...roomy, open concept with a great screened in porch to sit and enjoy the Atlantic Ocean breeze and fantastic views of Chimney Rock. Robin and Mike were the perfect hosts and had everything taken care of and everything we needed in the Villa - they have thought of everything which is not easy on this remote island. The kitchen is well equipped, bathrooms are clean and spacious with nice open tile showers, the rooms all have AC and two fans to keep the breezes going. The beds are very comfortable with nice bedding. They even have satellite TV (which we only turned on to watch the NCAA basketball finals!). 

One of the nice things about these Villas is their location on the island. Long Island is 81 miles long tip-to-tip and these Villas pretty much sit in the middle of the island so everything is a reasonable drive (in the SUV or Jeep they provide you!). The Deadman's Cay airport is no more than 15 min and Dean's Blue Hole (must see) is approx. 20 min. The beach and swimming hole just below the Villas is also a perfect place to chill - especially during low tide. 

We took notice of a number of other Villas around the island over the course of the week and nothing compared to Bahama Dreamin! If you have never been to a remote out island like Long Island do yourself and your family a favor and make the trip...it's a fantastic place to enjoy the "old school" Bahamas. There's no Atlantis and very little tourists here!!!!
